Policy AGWH3: Local Green Spaces
The Neighbourhood Plan designates Local Green Spaces in the following locations, as shown on the Policies Map and listed below:
- The Glebe
- Ashley Green Village Green
- Ashley Green Allotments
New development will not be permitted on land designated as Local Green Space except in very special circumstances or where it is ancillary to the use of the land for public recreational purposes.

This policy designates three Local Green Spaces in the area that are considered to meet the NPPF ยง107 criteria, which is explained in Appendix B. Given the new Grey Belt provisions of national policy there is now clear value in identifying these Spaces in Green Belt locations to secure the status of NPPF footnotes 7 and 45 and to prevent harmful development.
